About Us

The Children's International Learning Centre (CILC) was established on October 24, 1970 as a not-for-profit organization. Governed by a Board of Directors, staff and volunteers deliver programmes to the community with the goal of celebrating diversity and inclusivity by acknowledging the uniqueness, connections and similarities amongst us.

Vision: A world of care and respect for all people and our environment.

Mission: Promote respect for diversity and awareness of our world community through guided discovery and interactive artistic programmes.

Our Programmes:

The CILC endeavours to spread the message of inclusivity with acceptance of diversity through hands-on and virtual programme content.

Through 60 or 90 minute presentations, participants are invited on a journey of discovery to learn about various celebrations and cultures, while finding similarities between the celebrations and making connections to themselves. Participants ask questions and discover answers through hands-on exploration of cultural artefacts from over 100 countries.

Through our programme, we highlight forms of light, elements of gift-giving and gatherings of family and friends.

Related crafts and activities reinforce the key learnings and create meaningful connections to sustain an increased understanding of the value of diversity.
